Near the El Paso International Airport, 16 UGE wind turbines line the highway as part of the Airway Gateway Renovation Project.
Public artist Vicki Scuri designed the project to celebrate the potential for wind power in the state of Texas, creating an effect that instantly makes the turbines stand out on the skyline. UGE and partner Better Living Technology LLC carried out the installation of the turbines atop a steel tower custom-fabricated by local metal shop Caid Industries.
